Sister Schools Ssuubi Program

2009

Ssuubi Scholarship Program

The scholarship program provides necessary resources for Ssuubi Tour students in Uganda to realize their fullest academic potential and develop personal traits of independence, self-motivation, integrity, altruism and service-oriented leadership.

The program goal is to develop mature young adults that are ready and willing to contribute to the improvement of Ugandan Society.

Ssuubi Tour and Cultural Exchange Program

The Ssuubi Tour is a cultural exchange program that compliments the annual Sister Schools student education program in the greater Seattle area.  The tour program includes visits to participating schools in the Seattle area and cultural performances in Seattle area communities.

Sister Schools

The Ssuubi Scholarship Program operates in conjunction with Sister Schools, a program that provides education for American school children on developing countries and how they can make a personal difference in other people’s lives.  Please click this link for more information about Sister Schools.

Thank You Very Much

Our Ugandan friends left for home Monday evening with big smiles, wonderful stories, many new friends, and a few tears.

Your support of Sister Schools and the Ssuubi program allowed us all to make a difference in people’s lives in the Seattle area and Uganda.  We also shared memorable experiences and forged friendships.

Please let us know what you think about this year’s tour by sharing your thoughts via our survey.  Your are also invited to join the organizing committee for the Ssuubi program.  Please send us a note on the survey form by clicking here.
